Thanked: 227If you do decide to take a couple of days rest as well as stropping you should still make lather. Get the practice in. Ive been at this for a while now and i still peactice lol. I have even been known to whip up some lather for the wife to shave her legs just so I can practice or try out some new mixing technique.

Just a thought or two -- as time passes, you may find it easier to shave a heavier growth, on my end it seems to aid in the soaking process. The "soaking process" is key here, this is WET shaving , and the wetter the better. Strop early , strop long, make sure your edge is keen.

Thanked: 227I must admit. I do love to shave a good growth sometimes i just wont bothrr to shave for a week or more. But when I do it's awesome.
I also concur that it's good for the soaking and also for working in a good thick lather.

Imo its ok to shave a 3days growt. I like it my self very much. When you think i can handel this go for it.
make sure your technique is good, use a good prep before shaving (shower or pre shave creme)and take your time for the shave, dont rush.... let it be a wellnes moment of the day.
