I would have to say that EVERYONE has nicked their strop. only a matter of time.
Well now that curse is over with.... you can rest easy...
(until you ding the faucet with your edge)

Thanked: 3222No biggie, I and almost everyone else has done that. I think your guess as to why is pretty close too. Remember it is only a strop and they can be fixed or another bought in replacement. The only caveat with strops is don't buy any that you can't afford to replace, it will hurt less that way.

I have NEVER been able to do the spine flip, in honing or stropping. I am slower, but sure in picking up edge first and setting down spine first. Hell, I cannot shave with my left hand either! I watch guys strop in a frenzy and am much impressed.
