Just had my first shave
Well I got home today to find my new Dovo bq waiting for me and I immediately got in the shower, prepped, and gave it a shot. All I can say is WOW! I've watched enough videos over the past few weeks to feel comfortable trying my whole face and neck and im glad I did. I started with the grain, then went to the side and finally against the grain. No cuts or nicks whatsoever and my face is literally BBS as some of you call it. I have no idea how I didnt draw blood at all since it was my first try. My face hasnt been this smooth since I was 10. Im Greek so I had quite a bit to shave away lol. If only I knew how it'd turn out I would've tried it sooner
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

I was thinking the same thing after I was done lol. Just dint get cocky or else ill end up nicking myself real nice and have my friends asking me "why so serious" for a few weeks. I'm not entirely sure if this explains it at all but my blade is a half hollow. From what I understand that means it's a little more forgiving so maybe my outcome wouldve been a bit different had I used a full hollow? Just a thought. Still it worked out great though so I cant imagine a full hollow yielding results much different than this.

I also got cocky, and got a bit careless... sliced a bit skin off my chin. Tiny bit, but is was a wake up call. Be warned! Stay focused and take your time - AT ALL TIMES.
Always surprising to see how much blood a tiny cut can produce, crazy.

Same here, jtstay. I even did the ATG pass on most areas. No cuts. Since, though. I've had some minor streamers and issues with the razor being as sharp, technique not being so good, lather struggles. I'm trying to slow it down a bit a figure where I've gone wrong. My 6th shave comes tomorrow.
Congrats! Steady wins the race, I guess.
