Junk, unless it's a $5 patch knife. IMO that box is the only Henckels there, I agree it looks a lot like DeFi scales. In any case a hollow ground with that amount of rust is trash.

Wester Bros razors are excellent. Did not mean to imply otherwise. I have not seen a Henckels which came with those scales, either! The condition of the razor is bad, IMO.

Just to give you an idea of the fact that until you look under the rust one never knows... Red rust never worries me as much as black..

With that one, as others have said, comes down to price and if you're willing or able to do the work yourself. Red rust is the beginning stages and usually has not done any major damage to the steel underneath yet. As Glen said, the black stuff is what should worry people...its not patina...lol.

I was gonna say the same Red rust doesn't gauge and pit deeply like black.

But on a hollow ground razor even red rust can be relatively destructive. I wonder: why on earth would you want to have this razor?

Jody - I don't think it's worth the $25 asking price. Also, a good rule of thumb is to never buy anything based on fuzzy out-of-focus photos. If you are you looking for a project razor, you will probably have to more than double your investment to get a working razor. If you are patient and watchful, there are often decent razors in the classifieds that can be had for less money than this razor will eventually cost you.

    Regards - Walt
