Default I thought I knew how to shave

I am 47 years old and until I decided to shave with a straight razor and study how the hair grows on my face and neck I realized that I am now just learning how to shave!

We need to start a section called 'Old Dogs Learn New Tricks'. I'm a few months shy of 81 and I joined last July and learning something new about each razor in my rotation every day. No two days and shaves are ever alike and I like it that way. Discovery is the path to staying alive.

    Harold48,

Same as in age? Same as in enjoying the variation? How same. If age, well finally, someone that might know what I'm talking about! lol

I'm 44 and just started straight shaving this past summer! I learn something with every shave.

Maybe I need to start the Octogenarian Corner where we can all sit, sip good Kentucky Bourbon, and make comments about "the whippersnappers and their antics' from our rocking chairs.

I think you'll find the results much more agreeable too. Good luck.
