Thread: Well it's here but........

Ok. An update. This morning I stropped the razor and the blade not only passed the HHT (HHT-1) but shaved a bit better. Here's the question of the evening. Lol

If it is at HHT-1 post stropp would it be possible to give it 20-50 laps on a c12k, strop, and bring that edge up to a HHT-3 or 4?

Well, I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT!!!!!!

Honed it on my c12k. At first (like my stropping) I was afraid to mess it up so I was going too light. Then I got just the right amount of pressure where it was really flat and almost felt like it was suctioning to the stone. 10-20 passes like that and it started popping hairs over an inch out. I have to admit I didn't strop much cuz I didn't want to screw it up right away. A couple passes but I want to shave with it first. Lol. It's as sharp (if not more so) than my feather blade in my shavette!! Hot damn. Hopefully the shave will be as good as I am hoping for.

This is the final update for this thread as the shave was everything it should be. Close, comfortable, no irritation and no pulling.. Although I have yet to achieve a BBS with the striaght like I can with my shavette I know it will come now that the thing is sharp as my shavette.
