Excellent point! I'm gonna own that dovo tomorrow. Lol. Gonna go to a 1000 stone and make damn sure the bevel is set and then lighten up on the pressure. Great advice everyone. Thanks.
I love the feel and action of my dovo so I'm hoping that this is the problem.
A good eye on the cigar it's an A. Fuente. I love a good cigar! What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

Thanked: 3215When we say a bevel is set, we mean the bevels have been honed and are flat, even (usually) and most importantly they meet in a straight edge… the edge is sharp, the bevels are set to meet in a sharp edge.
Just because the edge was meeting and sharp, once…does not mean they still are. In fact as 10pups said it just takes one stroke on the strop where you lift the spine, before you stop moving the razor and you will wipe out, (round) the edge.
Chances are you wiped the edge, stropping. You may not need to do a complete 1K bevel re-set. It depends on what the edge looks like. It may just need a touchup.
It is not about a cheap razor vs. a good razor.
It is about stropping.
