I have probably only shaved with my straight razor about 30 times so I guess getting cut is probably part of the learning process. I have been getting good shaves and certainly much better than I do with the disposable. My confidence had grown and I even tried a few areas on my head this last weekend. However, today was a rough day.

Everything was going pretty good until I went for a second pass on my cheek to catch a small area I missed. I saw the cut happen in the mirror and I knew it was going to be a real bleeder. The stypic pen was no match for this one and I had to use a gauze and direct pressure to get control of it. It took a couple of minutes to get it to slow down enough so I could see the damage. Thankfully the cut is only a about 2 mm long but I still ended up putting a bandaid on it to keep control of it. I have to admit that my confidence is shaken but I'll try again once I heal up.
