See it as a healthy lesson in respect. Sometimes confidence can be dangerous.

Confidence is rarely dangerous, while over-confidence most always is!
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

Thanked: 48302mm is pretty minor. It won't even leave an obvious scar. Sometimes we get a little too confident and forget that when we aren't on top of our game we can get bit. We all have been bit, some more than others.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanked: 1That's always a bummer... I have a spike razor and there have been a few good shaves interrupted by an earlobe getting in the way. Talk about a gusher.
Still, these things make you appreciate the good shaves that much more!

+1 RezDog well said. I find confidence has two edges (lol). It's good to be confident but keep a healthy dose of concentration. Earlier in the week during my second pass I lost focus and didn't lay the blade down on my face gently enough, bam blood right away. Too much pressure trying to force a trouble spot. Then I nicked my chin. Got to stay focused too the end.
This made me remember a lesson from my flight instructor. "Never run out of ideas and altitude at the same time". Point being you need both confidence and concentration. So saddle up for the next round!
