i seem to remember califorinan cajun talking about them, i dont think that he was that impressed, and if i recall correctly they weren't that cheap.
i just use my forearm, and rinse it off when its either full of lather, or i have run out of face to shave.

Good to hear. Remember that this is about you and about your experiences with your razor. You're not honing for anyone else but you (for now perhaps) and if paste or diamond spray (or neither) works for you and you are happy, that is all that matters.

There is more than one road into town, good job!

After i readed this topic, i think i'll start to use a wet towel to clean my razors instead of rinse With water.

Others use a damp sponge on the side of the sink to gently wipe the blade off between passes too.

Try to only use the outside your arm or you risk getting lather in your hair.

Glad you are getting it in order, if there is anything I can do to help let me know.
