    Try Revisor if you want to do with a current production. I'd choose them over Dovo as well.

    Although my revisers came with good bevels I would not have called them shave ready. It was like 6K shave. Maybe it was just mine.

    Not sure what you're getting at. Any new razor that I get, I'm going to have at least honed.

    Some come shave ready and others do not. If it is your first shave ready is more important, unless of course you are going to send it out when you receive it.

    I'd just have a razor shipped to whoever is doing the honing, no matter what. For instance, when I eventually grab a NOS from Revisor, I'll have it shipped to The Gentleman's Den, as he handles my honing and restoration, and not my home address. I'd actually recommend doing something similar instead of choosing any new production razor (some of the NOS razors that revisor has are very reasonably priced) for a starter razor...the cost is pretty much the same, and you'll be getting a better shaver out of it.
