Hello...
Hello everyone, like everyone in here I'm interested in SR shaving, I think it's kind of lost art and a great hobby! but unlike everyone in here I have no idea what I'm doing... and I'm here to learn how to SR shave!
I'm currently stationed in Fort Knox KY, however I'm in Fort Lee VA for school, and I should be heading toward Fort Lewis, WA mid OCT, I don't know if you guys does get together or maybe workshop meeting but if you do, I would love to part of the activities.
Thank you.

Hello Medi,
Thank you for your service! I'm up in Washington. Have you been here before?
I started my journey into the world of SR shaving yesterday as well. I posted how it happened and what I purchased. I'd love to hear what you end up going with. I spent an entire day doing some fascinating research on many different sites, watching many videos and reading a ton of threads in this very forum. You are definitely in the RIGHT PLACE!!
These guys are going to be your number one source for accurate info.
From another newbie, Welcome to the group!

Welcome aboard.
I wouldn't worry about not having any experience.
If everyone knew how to shave with a straight, then this forum wouldn't exist. And we all started no experience. (Myself only a few months ago)
Read the Library, watch the videos, search the forums and ask questions.

I haven't done it personally. But on have had it done in a barbers.... Never again my skin reacted badly so I now use clippers then a cartridge razor. Much safer. ;-)
