I understand you can request a mentor on this site? How may I go about this?

I think you may be in the right area just ensure you narrow down your area you live in the request
I'm not sure how big NYC is but for me I put Gladstone in Central Queensland Australia the next closest town to me is 120km north & 175km south
where as if I put just CQ it is an area about 600km x 600km (360,000km2)
I think you may be a bit luckier in you area though

Oh man you just happen to be in one of those voids where there is nobody for 2,000 miles. You could also look in the member list under community. Send some PMs. I am sure there is somebody within flying distance :<0)

Just joined a group of guys who get together regularly in NYC here

Oh to be in a city with a decent amount of people. I wish I could find a mentor here in Juneau, or at least others to talk to about razors.

I pm'd a member who i got on with, who also had a mentor tag, and asked him questions, though i have never actually met him due to the plane ride factor.
If you go to the "community" tab,
Then "member list"
You could do an advanced search for members by area, then just see if they have a mentor tag, drop them a message and see what happens
