Not a dumb question.
The only bad thing about shaving with the same razor every day is that the edge will need to be refreshed after several months of use because it will degrade from use. But wait...the razor is meant to be used, so it is OK.

If you want to extend the time between honings of your razor you can consider adding a few more razors in rotation. There is a big "danger" of becoming addicted to razor collecting though. We are all victims of that here.

If I were a razor salesman, of course you would need a back up and another when one was in for honing. But no 1 razor is fine

Leave more for the rest of us. I have guns I have not shot and razors I have yet to shave with.

It is a valid question, but asking it tells us that you haven't been reading around this forum very long. And there's nothing wrong with that.
