I don't think this steel is fine-grained enough to take a proper shaving edge. Even if by some grace of God you get it to a Rockwell hardness range of 55-63 (yeah, sure ) it will just chip when you hone it and still never take a proper shaving edge. Then there's the grind.. Need I say more?
