Thread: Half hollow, full hollow and extra hollow ground

IME the double hollow grind, I have just one, feels more delicate and keeps me aware of the need to use light pressure for a clean safe shave. The hollow grind a little less so. These two give plenty of audio feedback. I also have a Korn patent grind bellied hollow which feels similar to the double hollow but gives less feedback. The half and quarter hollows and near wedge grinds have progressivly more mass that makes them cut a little easier but need to pay more attention to keeping the pressure light with heavier blades. Also less audio feedback. As mentioned above they all shave great. They all hone the same except the smiling blades require a different stroke to get the entire edge sharp. Can't help with the space shaving.
