    Default first razor came Saturday

I got my first usable straght saturday. It came from Jim at vintage blades. It was a shave ready Dovo tortoise 5/8. I also got a badger brush to replace my boar. Jim is a great guy to deal with. He kept me informed by email and the items came fast. I will deal with him again hopefully soon. I also ordered a #1 heirloom from Tony. The strop is not here yet hope to see it Monday. Tony also sold me one of Lynns DVD's to help me get started. Hope to retire the DE to the in a hurry shelf soon. I now need to get a hone and learn to hone my grandads razors. He was a Navy barber in WWII and I aquired a decent handfull of razors before my grandmother died.

Well the strop made it. In a walmart world it is nice to get somthing of such high quality. I could go on but if you have seen Tonys work you already know. I now have to make time to watch the disc and give the new Dovo a try. I hope to this weekend. I also dug out the old razors from grampaw. some good some bad all need a trip to the stone. I might send a couple of the better ones to Lynn for a tune up.

Thanks to all who make this form the learning tool that it is. Without it many faces would be butchered including mine. and I wouldn't have my Colleens soap. another well made product in a cheep walmart world.

    Don
