    Default Scars/scarring

I completed my first full shave today, and have started to reflect on my face and the changes my skin has gone through in the last couple of weeks since starting to shave straight. The most obvious thing are the scars from the nicks and slices I have taken out. None of them are bad, and none of them bled for more then a minute or so, but I have deep pink lines in several places now. I was wondering how long these scars hung around for for most people. I mean we have all done it, I assume, during our early stages, so how long do peoples scars stick around on average?

I've had some last a couple of months (thank you Pakistani razor-manufacturing industry). In any case, with time you'll exfoliate them out of existence.

When my kids have scars we bought some cream that supposedly reduces them. Some purple stuff incl. "...derma" in the name, $20-40 or so

You can also talk to cosmetic surgeons - one told me once that there's something more expensive that works better (maybe prescription?)

I documented one, not too deep, here a few months back and it took about a month to disappear completely.

They will all disappear in time, unless they're really that deep...

Know what you're talking about . Called Mederma and it's just about the best thing for scars.

Yes it is good stuff, works well, but on there own, they will go away. the face is a very vascular area, lots of blood flow. You can also use a facial scrub that ex foliates, Nivia makes a good one, but only use it twice a week.

I cut my self up pretty good when I started. If you search the newbie forum for "cat scratch fever", then you should find the post.

They took about a month to 6 weeks to go away fully.

Actually, every now and then I catch a hint of pink where they were, but it isn't very noticeable at all.
