Thanked: 3225There is a reason why I don't use magnification that high. It can make any bevel look bad with all those striations that you don't see with a 20x loupe. I'd rather not drive myself crazy.

Thanked: 0Yeah but for me it helps a bunch. I alternate the grind direction w/ each grit so I can ensure that I removed all the previous scratches. Plus, I have a point of reference because I know what each grit should look like. But I have great respect for those of you that don't use such a "crutch"!
