Don'ts of Straight Shaving
Don't:
Go fast
Lose focus
Shave dry patches
Try to do too much in your first shaves
Try to grab a falling blade
You will do all of these things and when you do you will receive a lesson. The light from the Stars in the Big Dipper took an entire lifetime to reach your eyes. For Astronomy, Shaving and Geekery follow me on twitter: @StevetheCanuck

Yeahhhh, buffer grabbed one so I grabbed it; well at it...looked down, it was just sitting there lodged in the side of my thumb. Look ma no hands!
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Thanked: 1081Er, 'someone I know' was having a good few beers one evening and looking at SRP, brought a straight over the net and thought it was a good time to celebrate the fine purchase and have a shave. After selecting a nice Joseph Rodgers (pre stropped) proceeded with a very shaky 1st pass, 2nd pass going well till: oops nice little nick and Mr Rodgers on the floor with his own little nick! Lesson learnt!
