I was thinking the same thing... Getting into bed with a BBS smooth, sweet smelling face. If mamma is happy, there will be rewards.

I am an evening shaver. That gives me more time to do it without any rush. Rushing it takes the fun out for me.

You know, I kept telling myself that my first SR shave would be in the evening for exactly the reasons mentioned, however I've had my SR for a few weeks and just got my strop. My impatient $$$ jumped out of the shower yesterday morning and I'll be damned if I didn't have the razor on my face. Was not too late to work, no blood, no nicks, used both hands with minimal awkwardness, just some minor burn at the base of the neck. It was great to relieve all that penned up trepidation but I will be an evening guy for the remainder of the 100 shave learning curve. I completely understand now how the learning curve is more related to getting a close shave, not so much the avoidance of disfigurement.

I find that evening is always best. The skin seems to lay flatter.

I prefer to shave in the mornings. Nothing like a nice shave on a sunday morning after a good nights sleep and just before a nice breakfast.
Then again, I shave once a week, but if I shaved everyday, it would have to be evenings. The only times I've cut myself, was when I was in a rush. It also took all the pleasure out of the process.

Didn't see anyone mentioning this, but it is somewhat important to me - I've always enjoyed the coolness of a pillow since I was a kid, and I still turn the pillow around every few minutes to feel the cool side of it, and nothing lets me enjoy it more than a freshly shaved face, so I guess that must be a big bonus for a shave in the evening.

In some worlds, that is not a given.
