    Looks like a fine razor. Have you ever used a straight or shavette? If not it should be OK. Just be aware of the tip which can bite on newbies due to lack of experience. I actually started decades ago with razors from garage sales. Taught myself to hone. Even today we experienced users make a mistake and the razor wins. Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
