Most days 20 to 25 minutes to make lather, do 3 passes, and clean everything up.
When I started it took 45 minutes to an hour.

With shower: approximately 1hr, but my hair is a wee longer than usual now.
Without shower: 15-25 mins, depending on time of day, day of the week. Weekends is closer to the 25-minute mark.

Thanked: 4830I shave in the evenings and it is usually fifteen to twenty minutes stropping included. 2 1/2 passes. Clean, close and comfortable.

When I stared DE shaving it would take me about 20 minutes after I got out of the shower. I took my time and avoided cuts. It was/is relaxing for me as opposed to something to rush through. After almost a year of DE, I can get it done in less than 10 minutes. But, again, it is relaxing for me.
I recently started with a SR about 2 months ago. I am still up around 30+ minutes from first pre shave strop to final post shave strop and final dry wipe down. I am sure that as skill develops, speed will also develop.
My opinion, it will take you as long as you need to get a good shave. I have no facts to support this opinion. We all have different faces, we all have different skill levels, we all have different hair thicknesses. I cant imagine that there will be a set time for everyone.
I shave at night. The ritual is relaxing, the scents are relaxing and I can go to bed with the scent still on my face (helping to keep me relaxed). Your results and experience will truly be your own.
From reading posts here for the past (almost) year, I don't know of anyone who started wet shaving because it was faster than using disposable plastic trash. I could have missed that post....

Add stropping time to your DE time and that is what I would expect.

When I started? It was 45 minutes and then sometimes a touch up with the DE..+ shower time before + post shave blade care after....
After three years? 15-18 minutes seems to be the range from start to putting up the razor.
2 Pass or 2 and a touch up at the throat.
And I have a Mo, so the often time consuming upper lip is not in the mix.
Longer if I have the time and less, with a DFS one pass, if pressed.
Allow plenty of time when you start out, it is a new skill.

About 15 minutes for me total. Lather, strop, shave 3 passes and a touch up, strop= 15 minutes give or take a minute.

Thanked: 52Just completed shave #160 and had read this thread just before so I decided to time myself.
Hot shower 10 Min.
Razor was just honed tonight so I had already stropped it.
So lather up and a three pass leisurely cold water shave 20 min.
Clean up gear and den 5 min.
Al totaled up just over half an hour.
