Thanked: 433Ha!!!
Now if you can keep the impulse to buy under control, you'll probably never have to buy another razor again (unless you want to), the hones will last several lifetimes and so will the skuttle. I'm using a 75 year old strop, if you maintain it and don't cut it, it will last many many years. I'm not sure how long a brush will last, mine are going strong at 8 years. The only real expendable is the soap or cream. Having said that, I sometimes buy shave gear like a drunken sailor on shore leave!!! lol

Yes, yes I do.
Did another shave today without any touch up. Cartridge razor is now in the closet, in another part of the house.
My beard is pretty much north to south all over. Today, I did a little south to north ATG on the center portions of my neck. Really worked well and will continue to practice more of that each day. I will soon be trying that on my cheek area jaw line (both sides) as I have not been able to get it close as I want with WTG and XTG.
Against the grain, with the different grip needed, is something that will take some time to get comfortable with.
Pretty excited and am already looking forward to tomorrow's shave.

Thanked: 52Nice work, you are making great progress! It's fantastic to see how you have followed the advise given by the fraternity and how well you are progressing.
Now that you have your beard mapped and are starting the ATG work your shaves will evolve nicely towards BBS. Sometimes just a little different angle on those passes will yield the results that you are looking for.
Keep up the great work!
