I actually love the white version. I use the green too but the red I hated! Mainly was the scent I hated. But I keep the white on steady supply and would not do without it!

Also being new to this you may want to try some MWF on for size as well. It is a pleasant soft scent and the lanolin makes for a nice gliding shave. I love it!

I would surely use the Proraso before I'd use the VDH. the Proraso makes good lather, as
Mike said though is looking for good soap MWF will be a good one too, now this is all considering that you want to stay with the lower cost soaps , for a little more money there are some really good stuff out there ,,like Tabac. Institute Karitte, but there isn't anything wrong with the Proraso , I used it for a while. Tc

I had really good result but the scent was so so, as for the lather the results where ok go exempt my error i didn't load enough soap on my brush. I did corect my mistake by adding more soap and the shave went perfect. The post shave was also perfect i've could step out of the sink whitout using after shave or alum block just cold water would do. I used Aqua Velva Sport(green) great match, as for slickness, cushion and protection no doubt it pass the test more then perfect. The only downfall for me is the scent i'm not crazy about it but i couldn't care less the results in general was perfect. Gino
