Thanked: 1It's close, well lit and more or less in good focus. I'd be happy with that as well. Thanks for sharing the photos. I will for sure get this or similar when I am advancing in my hobby. I am still learning to shave & strop

The capture software that came with this scope seems to me quite common. I have noticed this when watching youtube videos of different honers showing edges on screen, Alex Gilmour comes to mind, Although Alex uses a very professional looking optical microscope the actual image camera software looks to be the micro capture pro software that came with my unit.

Mine is mounted on a macro focusing rail in my workshop, scrap wood , a hinge and a two rare earth magnets countersunk from the back side hold the blade securely.
