Awesome and thanks for the photos. Good to see how it works. I have an iMac and a MacBook for work, so I'd like to get something that works with them. I tried once before and ended up with one that had only PC support, so I returned it (didn't try to figure if I could get it to work).

@Razorfaust, do you use the v4l (app?) or what comes with the microscope? I'm running MacOS 10.10.3 (64 bit mode). I see the Amazon page said that the Mac support did not include 64-bit.

I did ordered the microscope last night, so will be looking to getting it going. I haven't started honing (yet), but would like to examine the blades I have to see how they are wearing and how well I'm doing with stropping. I have a 30x cheap magnifying glass, but it's really hard (for me) to get a good view of the edge.

I'd also like to capture baseline shots of the edges on blades that have been pro honed, so that I can see how they progress, and see they look once I hone (or even just touch up) blades.
    Regards,

    PCM

I see you are keeping up to date with the latest version of Yosemite. Same here!
