LOL think it has strong opinions here do a search on google and find the Firearms Forums
Also however many Firearms and Boat aficionados have done multiple tests on Rust Prevention there are tons of them just a click away I think you will be quite surprised to find what product scores in the top 5 in nearly everyone of them
The only Razor related thing I would not use WD-40 on, is unsealed wood scales, I would be a bit worried on that...

Ya me too ,, all I did was answer the question ,,yes it does , but then it became an environmental issue, a medical issue, then a philosophic , and then nothing but an opinion because of different likes , bit does it have a place in razor maintenance or lubricating, YES! I can't seem to understand why everyone thinks I,m saying to drink it , use it as aftershave or inject BBQ with it, that U.S. Why it got 3 pages long, I have even given some of the items I use and have said that I like others better ,but as per the norm , we get on the I don't like it so it's terrible to use. And whoever would suggest it doesn't know what their talking about. I challenge anyone in that camp to prove what is so bad about WD40. it has stood the test of time and still on the market, and for those who think they know the ingredients ,, your amazing seeing how they have protected their formula since 1958. There are more opinions on lubricants in this forum than opinions on tape or no tape , I,m done , now go out to your garage and throw away that can of WD40 it's bad for you Tc

Sheesh Send it to me. I still buy it by the gallon in a metal can. I am glad that I associate with a group of people who are passionate about their products. Sheep will not question anything.

Wanna see pages multiply quickly and get people's dander up, post your opinion of WD 40 to the 1911 forum and then step back and watch. Might not want to use your real name, though.

Nope... milady does not like the smell of it, unfortunately.

I just visited my garage/workshop. I counted five cans plus a special one for overhead garage door springs. A handyman's trade would be lost without WD40. I just choose not to use it on my S.R. I prefer the smell of spices, oranges, lilacs, and limes in my shaving den.
