Recommend you don't go against the grain in that spot. Take about a 30 degree different direction as you cross it. Watch blade angle and pressure very carefully. Don't shave that spot first; don't shave it last. Stiff muscles and tired muscles quiver sometimes. It won't leave a scar if you peeled back a flap just a little. You have to make a pretty good slice (which we usually don't do because it starts hurting before you get too deep) in order to scar. Skin type may make a difference. My face would be a road map of scars if every stripe remained visible. Too bad, too. I heard chicks dig scars.

I can tell you for a fact that women do like scars. I have a dandy from a job related accident. It goes from below my right eye down the side of my cheek a good two inches, Clint Eastwood/Josie Wales style. It wasn't fun getting the infernal thing but it sure goes good with my Stetson.

Hawkeye, by any chance are you in Iowa? There is going to be a meet-up near Des Moines in May that you might wish to attend.

I wish I lived closer, I would attend.
