The surface of my face is very irregular due to scarring from cystic acne. Thus, it is very difficult, maybe impossible to avoid a least a few small abrasions. Most close up with the application of a cold towel. For the few that do not, a standard aluminum sulfate styptic pencil stops the bleeding.

Lots of cold water normally does the trick but if it's a slice direct pressure for a biggie but styptic for a minor!

I really like Nick Relief Styptic Powder. A little dab will do you. It is better than the stick or the liquid. Stops bleeders almost immediately. One drawback, make sure before you go to work that you look at yourself in the mirror. When the power dries it will leave a yellow residue on your skin. You can simply wipe it off and no one can tell that you almost cut your head off.

I am lucky and haven't cut myself in a while(now I' ve done it). Direct pressure, I think styptic pencils are more likely to leave a scar.

Well, after learning the hard way to stay scruffy if I've had *ANY* cocktails...

Stypic pencil for minor transgressions. Direct pressure until it quits for anything larger.

Usually the combo of styptic pencil, alum block and cold water do the trick for weepers.

For stubborn ones a good alcohol a/s.

I've seen several comments like this one, and it puzzles me. In my experience, alcohol makes small cuts bleed more.

Same here. Alcohol aftershaves will make even non-bleeding thin patches start bleeding. Maybe if you light the aftershave, it would cauterize the cuts...
