Using Norton 1/4k combo and naniwas 5,8,12 k.
Ive managed to do a partial shave once but it was not very good and have gone back to the 1k hoping to get it to acceptable levels
Playing around with a Bengal I got at an antique store.
BTW up to 5 days in a row now

If you haven't yet get a loupe. Will take a lot of the guess work out once the bevels set

Thanked: 13I don't think I'd worry about that too much. Can only speak for myself, but I don't shave with the toe of the blade. It sure doesn't get stropped. Watch where your soap collects on the blade, and you'll see that you really never take anything but with the flat, straight part. Not that I wouldn't hone it out, it is unsightly, but it really shouldn't affect your shave?
