Default first post and newbee qusetion

    hello everyone

like the tittle said this is my first post. i have been a DE shaver for about two years now and am wanting to get into straight razor shaving. so as a gift my sister gave me this three razors she got at an auction. i was wanting your opinion if they would be worth sending out to be honed or should i just get a new dovo or boker that is shave ready.

    the first one is a: friedr.herder abr.sohn solingen germany 72 7/8's

    the second is a: friedr.herder abr.sohn solingen germany 257 6/8's

the third one is a: robenson with the razor that fits your face and its 7/8"s

all are very shinny and look in good shape.

    Welcome to SRP!

The names are good, but pictures of the blades will tell us if they are worth sending out to be honed or not.

Oh yes, they are very good. Send them out to get honed ASAP. In the mean time, find yourself a good strop.

Try shaving with all three at the same time to compare and see which one is best.

At the same time? That's be a neat trick and I'd pay money to see that video.

All three actually look nice, just comes down to your preference of razor. But I would have all three honed.

Hey thanks for all the comments. Got them in the mail today to have them honed. You guys mentioned getting a good strop any recommendations for one around 50 or 60 dollars
