    Default I'm still alive!!!

So, took the tablet upstairs and watched Lynn's video while I made a feeble attempt to copy him. So long and short of it was: cheeks no problem, chin was ok, neck was a little difficult, my first nick happened on the side of cheek( yea stupid right), and the nose was a HOT MESS. Got two nicks under my nose. Over all it wasn't too shabby, my right hand needs a lot of work (yes I am a lefty)and my angles do too. Felt that I was holding the blade too flat or against the skin, so it was scrapping a lot instead of cutting. But it's a work in progress, I don't need stitches, and tomorrow I get to use my SRD module paddle strop for the first time!!! Thanks to everyone for all advice and I am sure there will be more questions to come!!!

Thanks for sharing. Keep at it and things get better. I have less than a month of daily straight shaves under my belt and am now getting some very nice shaves without blood. I was ready to give up after the first week but stuck it out. Now I'm hooked. Have fun!

Nice, before you know it, it will all come together and you'll get a 3 pass shave in 15 minutes.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Good going but be careful as you get better. That is when you get cut when you get overconfident. Don't ask me how I know. I'm sure others can relate.

Somewhere between shave 5-10 I got my first real cut. Over confidence kicked in and I thought I could go faster than my skill allowed.

I can relate. I cut myself pretty bad when I got overconfident and in a hurry. Never rush.

You are a brave man. I am a rigthy and there is no way I would allow my evil left hand that never does what I ask the way I ask to go near my face with a straight!

So shave # 2. Went terrific. Got to strop for the first time and that went ok. So CF lime was used and I know you don't build muscle memory in one try, but it went a lot better then then the first. As far as the right hand, you just have to keep working on it. For our lefty, and for you righty, hey now you know the lefty pain!!!
