I know exactly how you feel. My honey do list is just as long as yours. I just don't have time to hone. It's a daunting task. What if you screw it up? Your razor will be destroyed. It takes hours and hours to learn to do. You can certainly send it off and there are plenty of great places.

i started simply with a couple cheap razors and a barbers hone. A few minutes and nothing to loose. I found out it takes minutes and with a $12 razor I have nothing to loose. A $200 straight yea... But I decided to destroy a $12 straight trying to learn and I was able to get it in a coupe hours over a couple days. My advice it to learn it. Sounds like you need the stress relief!
