Thanked: 0old razor question
I am cleaning up three of my Grandfathers razors. One I can not find any information about, dad thinks he brought back
after WWI it was made my Jackson Smith & co Shefield. The second one is a 5/8 from local company that was here in Indianapolis, E.E. Schaff B.S. the third one has no markings but seems similar to the second one decent shape. None of them have been used since he passed in 1951 dad wanted to try but never had the guts to use one. A little metal polish and the crud that was on them pretty much cleaned up. few small pits away from the edge. This new to me so not sure but even though they seem sharp do not seem quite ready to use yet.

Here, photos always help. A close up of the tang stamps and an overall of each razor you ask about will help a lot.

Welcome to Straight Razor Place!
Here is a link to another Schaff Razor in the Straight Razor Place Library. http://straightrazorpalace.com/srpwi...ers_Delight%22
I didn't see any examples from Jackson Smith & Co. Like Geezer said, pictures would help with identification of your razors.
Are you wanting to have your razors sharpened and shave with them?

Thanked: 580Welcome to SRP. Nice razors. The one top left looks like it would have had a guard originally. Being heirloom makes them special. Lucky you, look after them.

Welcome to SRP, if you have not be sure to check out the library. I am not good with linking things so you should be able to find it there is lots of great information there. It is one of the buttons on the top left of the page. All of those look to be in great shape, I agree that the top left razor looks like one that would have had a guard on it like a Curleys safety razor I believe they are called. If you don't feel comfortable honing or have not honed a razor before it is different than honing a knife. I would suggest going to the classifieds and finding one of those fine gents to get them shave ready for you. Feel free to roam around and ask any questions you have. Enjoy and keep posting and learning

I wanted to suggest to the OP he send his razors off to a professional honer in the SRP Classifieds but could not find the Member Services ads. Is Member Services coming back soon?
