A Question About Whipped Dog
Hello,
I'm new to straight razors and was wondering if your vintage razor from Whippeddog.com would make a good razor for a beginner on a budget?
Thanks guys."My wife said she'd leave me if I bought another razor, I'm sure gonna miss her."

Thanked: 3795You are better off buying from our Buy/Sell/Trade. That way you will know who honed your razor.

Decent price and ive herd fr9m others that they are shave ready. Ive also herd a rummer that he sends them out for honing. Dont know if its true but as lang as its shave ready whats it mater who did it.
And Larry is a good guy and stands behind what he sells.
8d say 8ts worth a shot. Dont forget to pick up a strop too as he sells a few of them. It's just Sharpening, right?

Over the past few years I had had many dealings with Larry at Whipped Dog and have no complaints. Most of what he offers is intended to help new guys get started on their straight razor shaving journey, its hard to say how many on this forum have benefited from his products and services including myself.

I started with a whipped dog razor. Was very happy with it. Whether he honed it or someone else, it was definitely shave ready.

Larry is a member here although I don't know how active he is, but I think you will get a good deal for a beginner, however with shipping cost across the pond you may want to try someone local.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

I just got a razor from him. Came shave ready and in decent shape. He quoted me 3-4 business days to ship out. I ordered last Saturday and shaved with it Wednesday. I will be ordering another one from him in the near future. He puts information on care and use in the package with it. It did have a couple small surface rust spots, that cleaned off without much of a fight.
