    Default Greetings from Florence italy

    Good evening.
I'm Riccardo and I'm a new member of this forum. I am delighting in the construction of razor handles and here I hope to find useful information for my hobby.
    Congratulations for the forum.

I'm really a beginner. I'm looking at the pics of the work done and are real artworks.
Maybe in 1 year of tests I will post my work

Be welcome here, Riccardo. As the guys said above, 'a good place to hang out."
I would also add that much basic knowledge may be gained by reading and enjoying the "Library" It is a repository of good answers to questions and great way to have the vocabulary to better ask questions in the forums.

Welcome to SRP. Glad to have ya in the group.
I think what Richard was hinting to was the use of the word handle. In razor (and knives) they are called scales. This is nothing to worry about as we all know what you mean, but learning the proper names of the razor will help you to communicate better.

And if english is not your first language that is ok too. We have members from all over the world and we learn to understand. Its just part of the fun in the forum. So dont worry about that and do the best you can.

We love pictures and if you post up what you do we can help to refine your skills in making scales properly. There are a lot of details that most people miss when making them.

Do you wet shave? Use a straight razor now? You live in an area that is known for some fine razors so you should be able to find some great vintage stuff and quality soaps easy. Join in on the fun and check out the librbary it can help you in many ways.

Welcome to the forum, Riccardo! Plenty of information and helpful members here to assist you with your restoration work.

Love your (neighboring) town of Firenze! My favorite authority on espresso here in the United States, David Schomer, took major inspiration from his travels to Florence 30+ years ago when developing his northern Italian style of roast for his fondness of brewing ristretto style shots.

Fast forward to just a few years ago, and a local Gonzaga University art graduate comes out with topographical art featuring Spokane, and Florence. What a small world:
