Ok, I get it now.
I really was going to get it until you guys made me realize it might not be a good idea.
It looked nice and came in a nice box.
Your right of course I should have known better but I only have one razor so don’t really have much experience to fall back on.
I apologize if I was out of order, honestly didn’t want to upset anyone here.

Oh no. No offense taken. Look at vintage razors in good shape.
Post them up. We are here to help!

99% of the time low cost and new means junk. Or RSO. Keep that in mind when looking at new razors. A real hand made new razor is going to cost ya!
It's just Sharpening, right?

The lowest price I've seen on new, entry level razors, has been around $120 US.
And that's razor only.!
I used only one razor for many years, till I joined this forum. Now I can shave with a different razor every day, for several months
Don't rush it, save your cash for better stuff. Opportunity will always rear its head from time to time.
Keep your eyes on the BST thread, awesome deals in there all the time, from respected members of course.
I'll be sending out a package to u tomorrow, as long as there's no hiccups in my day.Last edited by outback; 10-15-2019 at 10:59 AM.

Thanked: 49Zy sells a pretty good razor. Made in China. $10 more or less shipped. The steel is good. They have an edge on them already. The ones I've seen shaved out of the box. Not the greatest but they shave which is in par with expensive razors that usually have an edge on but would benefit from a fresh honing.

Two shopping suggestions...maybe 3. If you want to buy new living in Canada, I’d check fendrihan http://https://www.fendrihan.ca/coll...traight-razorsor the classic edgehttp://https://classicedge.ca/index....te=common/home ...just stay away from the Gold Dollars, in my opinion. If you want quality for less money, forget pretty and look at the Buy/sell/trade on this forum. There are usually gems that have expertly done shave ready edges.
Stay away from eBay...you don’t have enough knowledge to judge good from bad. Cheap usually means bad.Just call me Harold

One other thing. 440 stainless steel is not fine enough for razors. That's more like novelty pocket knives with "mother of toilet seat" (pearloid) handles and that kind of thing. He's not doing any restores right now because of a rotator cuff surgery but Bouschie usually has some very good razors for very affordable prices. You can see his things for sale in the buy sell trade section. There are other sellers here too but I just figured I mention him.
