Unless you are in the Witness Protection System adding more info about your where abouts could be helpful as you never know when there is local help available!
The best advice I can offer for you and others who are just starting out is:
#1 Make sure your razor is 'Shave Ready Sharp'--Factory edges rarely are
#2 Take your time, it's not a race.

ANYONE can post ANYTHING on FB but.. on here there is a lot more fact checking and passing on of valid, useful information.
I'm sure you'll find the help you're looking for here. The searches yield very good results as well remember if you've thought of it likely some else has started a thread on it. Oh, a good thing to know is to see what's new on the site there is a quote new posts " icon in the top left corner under the home icon. That will show you what's recently been posted. That's probably the best way to bone up because you'll find answers to questions you didn't even think to ask by reading through those
