I have an Feather RG Professional and Japanese Style non-folding model.
With practice these razors offer a fine shave. As previously mentioned, it is a love or hate relationship with the Feathers. Honing and stropping is a skill that needs to be learned well in order to maintain a traditional straight razor. The Feather eliminates this aspect of straight razor shaving and it is debatable as to whether you are commiting an act of sacrilege by using a disposable blade. As far as the actual shave, IMHO, an open blade razor is an open blade razor & needs to be respected. Pro Guard blades do not mean "nick proof". I learned that firsthand. In all, I like them.
