Thread: Straights? DE? what do you use?

To get a little statistical here. here is a post to see who is using straights, de, or other...

i started on DE, then got a feather professional straight, now use both

When I first started shaving I used a DE. When I joined the military I would switch between an electric and a Bic disposable! At about age 27 I switched to straights!

I started shaving with str8's over 5 months ago . A month after I srarted I threw my mach-3 away . I won't shave with anything but a str8 . I love 'em

now i have to say, i like the ease of a de but the whole purpose of going to de was to get a closer shave...and baby the straight is BEautiful!!!

After about 1 week my M3 went to my wife (to many cartiges to throw away) and have never looked back, straight only, till something prevents me from being able to use one anymore

Mostly str8s, with the occasional shave with a DE or SE. The Gillette Fatboy if I'm in a real hurry.

Straights 99% of the time with the Single Edge Gem Razors when the fancy strikes - about 1% of the time.

I didn't know what to put b/c I practically don't use my DE's.. Maybe 2-3 times a month.

Mostly straights for me too, sometimes a DE if I'm in a hurry
