Welcome Tim,
Sounds like you're going to fit right in here. With your background, I'd hazard that your learning curve for straight razor honing will not be all that steep. Read up, ask questions, have fun...not necessarily in that order. Oh, one other thing...watch out for all of the AD's (acquisition disorders). No one is immune.

Welcome aboard Tim. You already have the right toys. Just make sure the Norton is lapped perfectly flat before you start working on the razor.
