Topher came from a drunk story. And with all drunk stories it is a simple one made funny by stupidity. I had 21 shots in 1.5 hours and we were discussing how much we hate that Topher Grace guy while stumbling back to the car and they hit on the fact that he and I have the same name because he is named Christopher. And so I literally climbed up on a box in the parking lot and started to shout at the top of my lungs that "I AM THE TOPHER! TOPHER IS AN HONERABLE NAME!!! I WAS BORN THE TOPHER!!!!" and I just kept screaming it to noone in particular until I fell off the box and the name stuck.
