Please allow me to introduce myself....I
' Tom. 55 years and lovin wetshaving here in NJ. The creams, soaps, fragrances...I just love trying new ones and sharing the old ones that I lose interest in.
I recently started Str8 Shaving with a passaround that Chris arranged on TSD (The Shave Den). Str8 is much more difficult than I imagined...It's gracious of him to share his own razors and strops to spread the enjoyment.
I just, today, ordered a scuttle from Georgetownpottery.com.
I think it was MattMike who posted his development of the type with the pottery guy.
Anyway..
Forard with the show. It's a real pain for mods/admins that we (SRP) lost the database from yesterday tru 10/31/207
Stuff happens.

And what does TOPHER mean?
I have problems with everything connected to str8 shaving. I can't see that well some areas of my face..I think I'm dulling the razor as I carefully strop it 50 -60 times.
I have to work on my stropping muscle memory. I seem to naturally want to strop and turn over blade first not the proper way of turning over on the spine.
I must say that it is a closer shave than my DE shave.
When I get a str8 shave right...sometimes happens...it is a WONDERFUL feeling
I will stay at it and give str8 shaving a good try..
Thanks XChris for your gracious use of your stuff.
