    welcome to srp. don't worry about setbacks at all - it's just a sharp piece of steel that cuts the whiskers. whether it's the whole blade that's exposed, or just the very edge, makes no difference in how it cuts. keep no pressure and don't move it along the edge and you'll be perfectly fine.

    Hey ice. I'm entirely new to this as well. have been checking out videos on the tube (theres a rather good 3part introduction by a nice fella there) and reading here, as well as the few short blobs of info they have at classicshaving. I'm so new in fact that my order has yet to be deducted from my bankaccount. Was really hopeing that I could have the starter kit I put together myself saturday the latest.
    Chances of that are very slim though now. Was really looking forward to showing up at a birthdayparty with ~20 or so nicks.

    ps: does anyone know if classicshaving is on holiday or somesuch? or does it usually take a few workdays for them to get deduct the money and send materials? ( I have no idea if its just a few people running it or some large conglomerate)

    I went over to that cigar forum. And just to prove I can mirror their attitude about a shaving forum.
