Good catch....you should be VERY pleased when you get that razor! They come pre-sharpened, but that's done on a machine and never really sharp enough to shave with.

Haha, it will be that way until the razor arrives at your door. When I was waiting for mine, the mail would always come about 20 minutes past my lunchbreak. So I would sit in my car in the driveway...just waiting for the mailman...everyday.

Thanked: 0They have refuned the 'honing' money I paid. I calle dthem and they said that its all in with the package price and PRE SHARPENED means it will be hand honed.
I called twice and spoke to two different people to confirm it.
Its been dispatched now so if it arrives and it hasnt been hand honed then Ill have to find someone in the Uk.
Not a problem, just an extra few days delay before I loose an ear, my chin and the tip of my nose!

Thanked: 4Two very important notes: strop before you shave, and practice before you strop (use a butter knife or something approximating a razor that will not nick your precious strop). Many a gent starting out has ruined razor and/or strop from poor stropping technique. Good luck! I too went from an electric to str8s. A marvelous shave awaits you.
