Just to add a different viewpoint....I'm not so sure learning to staright razor shave is best on a long trip or vacation. The first month of this road is usually a tough one with nicks, dulled razors, etc..... Maybe it is best once in a fixed place with time to devote to it.

Classifieds, yes, but I'd caution you against a round point. Those ones like to nick me. With a spike point, I can see exactly where the edge ends. Seems to make all the difference.
