The Dovo you are thinking of is easy to find if you search on Dovo Ebony. There is a little name plate on the scales for engraving a name. I was seeing a second hand one somewhere over the last few weeks, but I can’t find it now. Engraved with Mark or Dave or something else unimportant other than it sure limits the appropriateness of the resale! I’d worry more about getting a good sharp edge on a truly quality piece of steel (the pre-honed thing others are mentioning). Dovo is absolutely a good way to go. Even though it will be sold “shave ready from the factory”, it is probably not. Definitely spring for the honing or send it to someone from here if you get a deal on it from a ‘adventure source’ such as Ebay. You will have fun no matter what.
