    Well he did do two passes and stretched some on the second pass. Young skin. I can do long passes like that but I don't. I also have to stretch my old hide or I would get cut. I wouldn't recommend that video as a demonstration of shaving technique for a new guy.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Takes me about twenty minutes to do two passes. Leisurely done, enjoying the shave. It is like the blues lick on a Taj Mahal album, "The men don't like me 'cause I speaks my mind, the women crazy 'bout me 'cause I takes my time."

    Yes, he said that he didn't have hot water on tap. So he used an alternative routine to make hot lather. Seemed to work very well.

    So, by reading all your replies I gather that while I can use hot water in the preparation of the lather as long as I do not pour hot water on my brush I will be fine.

    BTW I've got a badger silvertip Rooney brush.
