Nah, you're just careful and patient. I don't wish it on anyone, but it's bound to happen. Maybe SWMBO walks by naked and takes your attention away for just a second, or your angle slips on slick lather. It gets everyone from time to time. For anyone else reading this, don't worry about nicking yourself. It's not a big deal, and certainly not a setback or a sign of inability

I guess it's a bit safer with 110v. Good luck with the next shave then. It'll be on your mind to keep that record unblemished. Can you cope with that kind of pressure?! Oh, & my Dad's a spurs fan too.

I've shaved 3 times now, and haven't cut my face. But have nicked my ear each time. Ticks me off. Because that hurts!

I've never cut myself with a straight either, and I have strictly followed all the advice on here.

Glad to hear it Cornelius, I do believe that it is all about learning, following advice and then taking things steady. I wonder which one of us will slice ourselves up first??

I agree... just yesterday I was telling myself I was getting good at it and as I was coming down my cheek I was opening up my ear with the fricken spike point!

I have a similar experience, that is, I do not cut myself very often. Probably because I am overcautious about shaving the a straight. I encourage you to continue this trend. The moment when you lower your guard is when most accidents happen.

    Al raz.
